MAPS continues my long consideration of our embodied experience of space, and how space is perceived, represented and hence, understood.  Seemingly identical, each pin is a representation of a unique space- a piece of ocean; a 1:1 replica of the piece of map that informs it. Map Pieces challenge the viewer to reconsider the legitimacy and authority of maps as representation of space and place, and how we make sense of the world around us.

'MAPS' installation view, Brunswick Street Gallery. Shown as part of Radiant Pavilion: Naarm / Melbourne Contemporary Jewellery and Object Biennial, 14 — 22 September 2024; and at Quiet Dog Gallery, Whakatū Nelson, as part of Nelson Jewellery Week, 10 April - 16 April 2025.
