FAIRTRADE?

Fairtrade? is a series of works which responds to the ethical questions of global food production. These pieces all utilise the face-like motifs found at the the ends of banana boxes. One of the worlds most highly consumed foodstuffs, banana industry is built upon a raft of corruption and dehumanising labour conditions, as well as farming practices that are significantly damaging to the environment.
